Plain terms for a local browser tool.
Exif Data runs in your browser without accounts or uploads. Using this site means accepting how a local inspection and editing utility works.
Local execution and your files
Every file you open is processed in your own browser tab. Your original file on disk is left untouched; any cleanup or edit generates a new derived file downloaded to your device. Because files never pass through our servers, we cannot recover, back up, or inspect the images you work with.
Verifying derived files before sharing
Different image formats store metadata in different segments and chunks. Before publishing a sensitive image, you are responsible for inspecting the downloaded copy to confirm that the specific fields or segments you wanted removed are no longer present.
As-is utility service
This tool and its documentation are provided as-is, free of charge, for lawful inspection and editing of files you have the right to handle. Andy Chung is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of this tool or reliance on metadata values written by cameras or third-party software.
